Next Remix from Sunshine Low (ASHRR Soundsystem Versions)
Full Remix Album Out July 25 via 20/20 Vision Recordings
JUNE 18, 2025—Today, indie electronic trio ASHRR unveils the latest installment from their self-remixed Sunshine Low project with the new ASHRR Soundsystem remix of “Sun Song.” Sunshine Low (ASHRR Soundsystem Versions) arrives in full on July 25 via Ralph Lawson’s 20/20 Vision Recordings.
Working under their dancefloor-focused alias ASHRR Soundsystem (essentially ASHRR in club mode), the trio reimagines “Sun Song,” the luminous centerpiece of the original Sunshine Low LP, into a dubbed-out, Balearic-infused version. This rework transforms the track’s spiritual atmosphere and late-night energy with woozy dub textures, cosmic disco grooves, and sun-drenched beats, creating a hypnotic, body-moving experience.
“Sun Song (ASHRR Soundsystem Version)” continues the group’s monthly series of ASHRR Soundsystem singles—each offering a fresh take with all new live instruments, programming, drums on Sunshine Low originals—culminating in the full album this July, coinciding with their upcoming performance at Love International festival in Croatia.
The Los Angeles trio draws on the distinct chemistry of vocalist Steven Davis, jazz-trained pianist and songwriter Josh Charles, and Grammy-nominated engineer/producer Ethan Allen. Since forming in 2018, they’ve blended electronic soul, post-punk, space disco, and indie-dance into a sound that’s both emotionally rich and rhythmically infectious. Praised for their tight harmonies and expansive production, ASHRR has earned remix treatments from Scientist, Lovefingers, and Ron Trent, further cementing their place as one of LA’s most forward-thinking acts.
