With focus track ‘Come Thru’ on Medium Rare Recordings - Get it HERE
Sydney DJ/producer/songwriter/vocalist KLP unveils her full 5-track ‘Alter’ EP on Medium Rare Recordings with focus track ‘Come Thru’, out now. KLP, aka Kristy Lee Peters, trails platinum records, ARIA Award noms and Aussie fans galore, in her ongoing incursion northwards via Skrillex, Loods and Airwolf collabs, and releases on MOS, Ultra and Warner Music.
Previous LP singles - summery high energy piano-rich ‘Symphony’, jam-pumping hyperspeed roof-raiser ‘Never Let Me Down’ and frantic dance juice with huge melodic synth ‘Vitamin’ - bagged support inc. Mixmag, SiriusXM, Triple J…
Focus track ‘Come Thru’: chunky piano chord melody, plucky percussion with lots of cymbal rushes, plus a pitch-shifted vocal more riff than song, give a real 90s vibe to another dancefloor essential track from KLP.
EP ‘Alter’, on Sydney-based imprint Medium Rare Recordings, is packed with top notch dance goodness, teeming with energy as well as melody, and occasional echoes of 90s dance blasters. The northern hemisphere is set to heat up, but in a good way.
EP-exclusive track ‘I Know’ is also rampant – breaksy beat, kicking drum - but with a slower, sexy vocal and lyrics. ‘Don’t sweat it, just get it…’ Good advice, when it comes to this EP.
Beyond music, she has a ton of hobbies/interests, inc. co-founding a charity netball event ‘Ricochet Ball’ (est.2018) – a way for the Aussie music industry to come together in a drug/alcohol-free environment for a day of fun, sport, music and fundraising. This year’s (June 14th) raised over 40K AUD for charity.
