biskuwi remixes I’MMORTAL’s ‘KILLED U IN A DREAM’ single

Actualizado: 7 oct

DJ and producer biskuwi is set to unveil a remix of I’MMORTAL’s third single, ‘KILLED U IN A DREAM’, on the 4th of October via the Immortality imprint. This follows the release of a remix of the same track by LA producer and multi-instrumentalist Droid Bishop. biskuwi (aka Alice Efe) is known for her blend of dark, ambient melodies with a touch of melancholy and exoticism, captivating listeners with her unique directness and minimalist artistry while defying conventional genres. Over the years, the Stockholm star has performed at prestigious venues like Sonnemond Sterne, Harry Klein and Södra Teatern, and has received support from top industry DJs including Richie Hawtin, Solomun and Yotto. Her tracks frequently reach the Beatport Top 10 charts and have appeared on prominent Spotify Editorial playlists such as Beats of Tomorrow, Techno Bunker, and Electronic Circus. biskuwi has been featured twice on the cover of the Electronic Rising playlist, solidifying her reputation as a leading artist in the electronic music scene.

I’MMORTAL is a New York and London-based genre-blending music producer, vocalist, visual artist, and creative director. I’MMORTAL launched herself into the digital sphere in August 2023 with the release of her debut tech-house single, ‘Versace Spaceship’. With a sound influenced by Sevdaliza, Britney Spears, Lady GaGa, Lana Del Rey, Bjork, SOPHIE and many other femme avant-pop luminaries.

biskuwi’s take on the track metamorphoses I’MMORTAL’s campy, dark pop song into a dizzying slice of melodic techno, sure to be enjoyed by fans of Adriatique, Camelphat, and ARTBAT. Her intricate production has crafted a song that retains the defiant feeling of the original while alchemizing it into a bewitching progression of rising and falling passages, with dark, throbbing basslines and pulsing percussion. This remix repackages I’MMORTAL’s witchy qualities into a dancefloor-ready enchantment, ready to hypnotize the listener from the first beat.

biskuwi told us: "The original track's dark, haunting atmosphere and beautiful vocals really grabbed me. I immediately knew I wanted to make a melodic techno remix that keeps these powerful qualities but makes it more danceable. My goal was to take listeners on a journey that captures the original's emotions while getting people moving on the dance floor."
