Carlisle electronic trio NOVABLOOD tease LP & Pikes Ibiza debut with 'Bring Your Love' video

Bring Your Love is NOVABLOOD’s soulful second single from their hotly anticipated album Destroy the Magic. A sumptuous slice of well-crafted and stunningly produced electronica from Carlisle’s finest, Bring Your Love is on Old World New World. Every bit as beautiful, bold and brooding as the first single Biblical, this is what well-crafted electronica sounds like.

Even before you open the door of Carlisle’s Thin White Duke bar, you can already hear the synth line and octobass vocal of Bring Your Love. As you descend the steep steps into the basement, Paul Newton’s solid organic bassline enters stage left, shakers and hi-hats stage right. As you approach, you hear the sheer depth of the production and attention to detail.

Single, clean piano notes ring out as Mark Zowie steps into the spotlight and adds his sumptuous vocal, singing directly to you, reading the letter of an insecure lover clamouring for the affections of their partner, desperate to be noticed amongst the noise and mayhem of modern life.

There’s a million things I can say to you / In your loving arms / Don’t you let me go / Bring your love, bring your love to me. Zowie reprising singing duties in the same soulful way he did with Burn The Negative and We Take Polaroids. Any fan of David Sylvian will instantly get Zowie’s refined vocal delivery.

Mark Zowie explains further: “Sometimes as either a writer or a producer you’re not particularly inspired by anything yet driven to just create something. I had a fun bet with a friend that I could write a song where the chorus hit within 50 seconds. As a lover of strong choruses, Bring Your Love was born around the bassline and the simple chorus line. It all came together so succinctly. We love performing this one live”.

On the superb video: It was directed at the Thin White Duke in Carlisle (Bowie Reference) by Andrew Newlands who is particularly well known for his drone / camera video output. We wanted a simple performance video with warm visual hues to suit the feel of the track.

When performing live, NOVABLOOD become a slick three piece, the excellent Paolo Di Liberto (also from Burn The Negative) on backing vox & technology while Paul Newton expertly provides bass and guitars. You can catch NOVABLOOD live at the Golden Lion Todmorden on 6th September. The trio will be spinning Electronica, Prog and House at the legendary Pikes in Ibiza on 3rd September and at Tokyo Bar Newcastle on 19th October. NOVABLOOD: Your new favourite electronica band of 2024 and beyond.
