Dekmantel proudly announces the 11th edition of Lentekabinet, landing on the green grounds of Het Twiske (NL) in the holiday weekend of May 18 & 19, 2024. As the opening ceremony of a new season, our intimate and interdisciplinary festival brings together national and international DJs and live acts, local nightlife and music collectives, as well as collaborations with Amsterdam’s cultural mainstays. The two-day celebration invites festivalgoers to reunite and reconnect: with music, with the arts, with nature and—through all of the above—with each other. With one foot in Amsterdam’s thriving scene and one foot in (electronic) music’s global fringes, Lentekabinet transcends genre boundaries and gives centre stage to innovative sounds. Internationally established DJs making an appearance at Lentekabinet ’24 include Eris Drew & Octo Octa, Avalon Emerson, DJ Godfather, John Talabot, DJ MELL G, mad miran and Shanti Celeste. We are equally excited to introduce a bright new generation of dance music frontrunners: amongst others, Surusinghe, Arakaza, C.FRIM, Frontinn, Mukuna, Azu Tiwaline and Willem Feltzer. With an ever-growing emphasis on live music, this Lentekabinet edition sees vibrant acts such as Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, D.Tiffany, Altın Gün, Elias Mazian and Etran de L’Aïr take to the stage. As a whole, Lentekabinet revolves around creative exploration, community and collaboration. The distinctive areas represent a wide spectrum of sound and are partly hosted together with local crews. More than ever, Saturday at our main stage brings a poppy focus to the festival. At the Derde Kamer, Saturday shifts from local cult acts like Volition Imminent and Palmbomen II towards electro and ghettotech, before its Sunday lineup explores the intersections of bass and club music from the SWANA region. A dedicated stage by Kanaal40, the latest and most exciting addition to Amsterdam’s nocturnal landscape, focuses on innovative micropop culture and diasporic sounds. Strangelove, the legendary party by Job Jobse, will undoubtedly be the place to be for an uplifting family affair. The full scope of this edition’s arts and culture program will be unveiled at the start of 2024. Pre-registration tickets for Lentekabinet ’24 will become available on November 28 at 12:00 CET. General ticket sale starts on November 29 at 12:00 CET.
