Release Date: out now

GRiZ continues the momentum of his 2025 return with a hard-hitting new single, ‘Coast 2 Coast’ featuring UK grime legend Flowdan. The track arrives on the heels of GRiZ’s recent collab ‘Chaos Theory’ with Wooli, the surprise Gemini EP, and ahead of his long-awaited return to the stage this autumn with a run of US shows.

‘Coast 2 Coast’ stands as a transatlantic sound clash - pairing GRiZ’s futuristic bass production with Flowdan’s unmistakable, high-impact bars. The track’s original instrumental first surfaced as an unreleased ID GRiZ shared with peers during his hiatus and was championed by artists like Subtronics, Tape B, Wooli, and Levity. Initially built around Flowdan’s sampled vocal from Sammy Virji’s ‘Shellaverse,’ the song quickly became a crowd favourite. Inspired by the response, Flowdan recorded an entirely new topline for the official release - making this version wholly original and never-before-heard in any live set or mix.

Blending grime attitude with explosive festival-ready sound design, ‘Coast 2 Coast’ is a bold addition to GRiZ’s genre-hopping catalogue and marks a defining moment in his 2025 return.

A bespoke visual directed by Zach Okami (Isoknock, Bad Bunny) will accompany the release, featuring Flowdan’s performance reimagined through hyper-stylised visual storytelling.

MORE ON GRIZ:

Funk isn’t merely a genre. It’s a state of mind. Such is the opinion of GRiZ, the North Detroit–raised musician who spends sunny days and neon-tinted nights in pursuit of good vibrations.

The multi-talented GRiZ has cultivated a party-poppin’ corner of bass music all his own defined by sax-blastin’ productions and soulful live shows. His reflective nature and fun-loving attitude are mirrored in his unmistakable electronic creations, each their own serotonin-fueled gateway to a bona fide good time. Now building beats in the heart of Denver, GRiZ has proven that his eclectic style is boundless.

A musical chameleon, GRiZ is never afraid to flip the switch from upbeat future funk to low-tempo glitch-hop, dive into the heavier leaning side of bass music, and even from time to time quench his thirst with a taste of four-on-the-floor or disco. This shape-shifting maestro can do it all, painting each cut with his vibey hallmark sound print and leaving no question of their genesis.

In March of 2025, after an extended hiatus, GRiZ announced his inaugural Seven Stars Festival that will take place in October in Arrington, VA. The festival sold out in minutes and will feature GRiZ’s first live performances in two years, alongside sets from iconic artists such as Subtronics, Hamdi, Levity, and Disco Lines, among over 60 other artists.

Alongside the on-sale, GRiZ dropped the surprise GEMiNI EP, a sonic foreshadowing for the future of his project. In May, GRiZ also announced further two-night plays at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, and Cow Palace in Daly City. Joining GRiZ for these two bass-boosted weekends will be Sippy, Boogie T, Gramatik, and Levity, among others.
