An exclusive collaborative project lands on Truesoul, with rising Dutch artist Jochem Hamerling linking with BLR for a festival-ready cut.

Truesoul thrives off giving platforms to emerging artists, while showcasing fresh production partnerships. Dutch pair Jochem Hamerling and BLR have long been connected, trading track ideas back and forth, before hitting the sonic sweet spot with ‘Collision’.

We know BLR from his series of collaborative tracks with Matt Sassari – ‘The Incident’, which dropped in early 2024, before the stunning ‘Close Encounters’ came soon after. The producer has a fantastic ability to craft groove-ridden rollers, fit for both house and techno situations.

‘Collision’ was made for big moments, possessing energy and atmosphere in spades. The percussive techno cut feels like a natural evolution of Dutch legend Marco V’s landmark productions of the mid 2000s, building loads of rhythmic energy from start to finish, while bringing the vibes with thrilling melodic flourishes. Cracking!

"Leon [BLR] and I have been exchanging ideas for years, but this is the first track we've fully finished together. It started with a basic idea I put together, and Leon brought it to life with his signature groove which really tied everything together. It’s amazing to finally see it released on Truesoul.” – Jochem Hamerling
