Exploited warmly welcome back FM4 resident Joyce Muniz who returns to the label and continues her incremental ascent with a slice of gratitude in the form of bumping, Lo-fi afro Italo.
'Mo Dupe' makes use of vocals from a Nigerian ritual that pays homage to the Goddess of abundance, Oxum. The raw, untreated timbre of the vocals are paired with a crunchy, textural bed as bit crushed drums bump with a palpable snap and a propulsive bass line bores straight through the heart of the groove like a train track.
Foggy synths and a hefty dose of spacious delay whip up a thick, intoxicating energy across a track that manages to be both singular and deeply playable.'
