Luke Andy is a self-taught and relentless creative whose infectious beats and innovative soundscapes have captivated audiences around the world. He has released on some of the biggest labels in the industry, including Rules Don’t Apply Records, Repopulate Mars, Dirtybird, and Desert Hearts, just to name a few. His music can be found in the record boxes of some of the most respected names in electronic music, like Jamie Jones, Mochakk, Claude Vonstroke, Walker & Royce and Lee Foss. Performing at clubs and festivals alike, such as Spybar Chicago, Electric Daisy Carnival, and many more. Luke now enters another chapter of his musical journey with the launch of his own record label, Groove Motive. An artist-driven label at its heart, Groove Motive looks to release music from Luke himself as well as other forward-thinking and like-minded artists.
For this debut single, Luke taped the talented Sophiegrophy, whose "unique vocal tonality and rhythmic flow" he was immediately drawn to after hearing her on 'No Drama' by Walker & Royce in 2017. After several back-and-forth studio sessions, “My Side” was born.
The excellent 'My Side' is driven by a pumping bassline with well-swung drums down low. It's stripped back and gritty, but Sophie’s killer vocals are delivered with great attitude and swagger while adding a sense of future soul.
