Marc Romboy Drops Official Remix of Tokyo Fan Club’s ‘Circles’

Following the critically acclaimed release of Tokyo Fan Club’s debut album We Live Electric back in November 2022, Bedrock Records welcomes back label mainstay Marc Romboy to remix one of the album’s standout offerings, Circles. Marking his latest return to the esteemed UK imprint after multiple EP releases and remixes, Marc Romboy’s remix of Circles is out now across all streaming platforms.

A collaborative project from Luke Brancaccio, Gai Barone and vocalist Kiki Cave, Tokyo Fan Club’s inaugural LP was presented in two parts – the ‘80s and ‘90s dancefloor-inspired Part 1, followed by the ambient-leaning and soundscape-heavy Part 2 – both of which were mixed by Bedrock founder John Digweed.

Rounding out Part 1, Circles presented as a blissful slice of electro pop with warming vocals and a flurry of high twinkling synths. Guiding the cut into darker, electronic waters, the acclaimed Romboy deploys a gritty and distorted bassline for his edit, creating a sense of dichotomy against the bright synth elements and soothing vocal chops.

An invaluable figure in electronic music’s continued progression, Marc Romboy’s output has always featured a unique blend of influences, stretching from techno all the way through to neo-classical. Experience is everything, and Marc absorbs the energy from his lifelong dedication to produce records that are both highly authentic and equally timeless.
