JULY 18, 2025—Lisbon-based duo MXGPU, made up of longtime Portuguese electronic innovator Moullinex and singer/producer GPU Panic, today share their new single “find u,” out now via Discotexas. The track arrives ahead of their collaborative project’s debut album, Sudden Light, set for release on September 26.
On “find u,” MXGPU steps outside their usual palette, blending liquid drum & bass rhythms with crisp, staccato synths and lyrics that reflect the project’s core themes of presence and emotional openness. The track’s refrain — “I’m saving time for me and you / I’m there to guide you through it all” — speaks to the clarity and connection the duo aims to build through their work.“‘find u’ was always an outlier while writing Sudden Light. It never quite fit in. We knew it had two possible fates: end up in the bin, or take the spotlight. When we launched MXGPU, we committed to freedom and no safe choices, just instinct. The artists we admire most experiment with new genres like it’s second nature, and that gave us the confidence to write ‘find u,’ our wild card. We wear it proudly.” — MXGPUMXGPU formed out of a deepening creative connection between Moullinex and GPU Panic — a collaboration that emerged after Moullinex brought GPU Panic into his live band. What followed was a rare chemistry, where long-standing creative roadblocks gave way to spontaneous, emotionally raw songwriting. The project quickly became a vehicle for both artists to push beyond their comfort zones and tap into something more visceral.Their live shows reflect that same ethos: intimate and immersive, performed in the round and designed for direct connection. GPU Panic’s vocals are there, right in front of you, cutting through the instrumental wall of sound and reclaiming human connection to the performance. Surrounding it all is a custom-built stage environment — sci-fi visuals, lighting inspired by James Turrell, and a hardware setup featuring Moog, Arturia, Teenage Engineering, and Dreadbox — creating a world where analog texture, improvisation, and visual storytelling converge.MXGPU’s 2025 tour continues with a summer run across Portugal, including key festival appearances and club dates in cities like Lisbon, Porto, and Guimarães. The tour also marks a major milestone with the announcement of their first-ever U.S. shows, set for October in Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
