Few remix EPs manage to feel cohesive as complete listening experiences, but Pyrame’s “Back From The Flash” achieves exactly that. Released on THISBE Recordings, the project moves with the logic of a dream — fluid, emotionally fragmented and constantly shifting between clarity and abstraction.

Rambal Cochet opens the release with a towering electro reinterpretation filled with tribal energy and widescreen atmosphere. Drawing heavily from 90s sonic language without becoming trapped inside nostalgia, the remix feels alive and urgent. Its percussion rolls forward with almost ceremonial intensity while layers of synth work create an atmosphere of controlled delirium.

Balam provides the release’s emotional counterweight. His remix transforms the source material into an expansive indie dance journey filled with luminous melodies and understated euphoria. There’s a tenderness hidden beneath the groove that gives the track lasting emotional resonance beyond its immediate dancefloor appeal.

Delhi Mendoza’s version pushes deeper into nocturnal territory. Fast-moving and emotionally charged, the remix balances melodic melancholy with physical momentum in a way that feels remarkably refined. Rather than overwhelming the listener, Mendoza allows tension to accumulate gradually, creating an atmosphere of hypnotic immersion.

The closing Tabla Effect Mix from Rambal Cochet functions almost like an epilogue — a stripped-back rhythmic meditation where repetition becomes emotional language.

Christian Krüger’s accompanying visual work strengthens the release considerably. Featuring Nikita Takasaki and Mark Wartenberg navigating parallel realities, the film embraces ambiguity and atmosphere over narrative clarity, echoing the music’s fascination with memory and dislocation.

“Back From The Flash” succeeds because it treats remixing as world-building rather than revision. Each artist expands the emotional architecture of the original track while contributing something distinctly personal to the larger experience.
