The organisers of Riverside Festival and Electric Frog have teamed up to bring an exciting new outdoor event to Glasgow’s Riverside Museum on Saturday, August 31 2024, celebrating the end of summer with some of the biggest names in electronic dance music. Music lovers will get the chance to experience some Clydeside open air dancing with seven hours of music and an all-star lineup.
Closing the summer season with this one day, single stage event, Skin on Skin tops the lineup with his only Scottish show this year, and he will be joined by co-headliner KETTAMA, and heavyweight support from La La, Hayley Zalassi and Dija for the ultimate dance party.
Having first taken the Australian scene by storm, Skin On Skin has quickly become a fan favourite around the world. With a unique and forward-thinking blend of techno, classic house and alternative hip hop, the DJ and producer exploded onto the scene with his bone-shaking debut EP in early 2019 – via iconic Newcastle label, Steel City Dance Discs – and has since made his long-awaited Boiler Room debut in Belfast in 2022, released a string of sold-out records, and headlined a coast to coast tour of North America. With a Barrowlands Ballroom under his belt in 2023 and a sold-out 6 date club tour of Scotland, his return to Glasgow will be his biggest Scottish show yet!
With an unmistakable sound characterised by pulsating grooves, rupturing drum patterns and gruelling bass, KETTAMA has become one of Ireland’s greatest musical exports. Since his emergence in 2018, the groundbreaking artist has risen to notoriety within the electronic music scene, amassing a huge following at home and abroad as a pioneer of ‘Sledgehammer House’, which sees hard-hitting bass and devious drums infused into a euphoric energy-filled soundscape.
Also joining the impressive lineup is one of Scotland's biggest selectors, La La, who has been lighting up the international circuit since leaving Glasgow for London in 2019. With her own label “Brand New Records”, a string of sold-out solo club shows, a Radio 1 residency and some high profile festival appearances, touring extensively across Europe, Asia and Australia, this exclusive appearance sees La La bringing her infectious energy back to Glasgow in a fitting homecoming show!
Another breakthrough Glasgow DJ & producer, Hayley Zalassi will bring her undeniable presence and magnetic energy, alongside supremely talented DJ and visual artist, Dija, who regularly plays on the city's vibrant underground club scene.
Riverside promoter Dave Clarke says: “We’re delighted to finally be able to share this news of what is our first outdoor, one main stage event at the Riverside Museum. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring this exciting party to the Clydeside. We can’t wait to welcome everyone down for a day of unmissable music, dancing and electric vibes. It’s a great way to end the summer”
