Russell Small & DNO P presents Nothing To Lose (Feat Katherine Ellis)

Brighton beatmasters Russell Small & DNO P bring you this stunning reworking of Nothing To Lose released 26th July. Twenty-five years after Phats and Small’s huge international hit ‘Turn Around’, Russell Small continues to show how to bring you the party.

DNO P, one of the original prodigies of the Brighton scene back in the late 80’s – 90’s, played alongside dance music greats such as Carl Cox, Sasha & Digweed, Tony Humphries, Paul Oakenfold & Mark Moore. Now a prolific electronic music producer, DNO P has remixed artists including Paul McCartney, Little Boots, Todd Terry and Embrace.

Originally released by Freemasons in 2015 (Russell Small’s former collaboration) this updated version is perfect for summer. Featuring seminal electronic music vocalist Katherine EllisNothing To Lose brings good vibes and happiness to pool parties, bustling Ibiza dancefloors, on the beach, or even in your own back garden. Make sure you add Nothing To Lose to your playlists as the temperature soars this summer.

Nothing To Lose starts with a bang: Katherine Ellis’s soulful voice proclaiming ‘We’ve got nothing to lose / It’s no good without you / Boy I make no excuse...’ valve keyboards set to ‘sun’, frame Ellis’s voice perfectly, before those classic house beats kick in, taking you back to your favourite ever dance floor moments. Slap bass, Chic-style funk guitar and synth strings join the party and take you to yet another level of joy. Russell Small & DNO P bring that big studio feel back to electronic music. Nothing to Lose has such a warm and soulful tone, like a double scoop of summer in a waffle cone.

Excitingly, there is even more to come. Russell Small & DNO P bring you their sensational album Earworm, out on 28th September, featuring an incredible array of collaborations with the best of dance music royalty. Reuniting with sublime vocalist Ben Ofedu (Phats & Small) as well as Ultra NateThe Illustrious Blacks, and even Lulu. With tunes this memorable, Earworm definitely lives up to its name.
