Andrey Sirotkin makes a strong debut on THISBE Recordings with his single “Untouchable,” a slow-paced techno track filled with synths and an electrifying 80s-inspired vibe that promises to captivate listeners from beginning to end.
The Kyiv-based producer, known for his remarkable analog techno productions released on labels like Rune Records, Mystictrax, and his own Vyrii Records, returns with an original piece that strikes a perfect balance between melancholy and euphoria.
Initially crafted as an instrumental track, “Untouchable” demanded an additional melodic vocal layer, which is where Pyrame comes in. The Berlin-based lyricist and vocalist brings a compelling message to the song, warning of how modern society reduces humanity to a mere product, a cog in a system driven by statistics where everything is measured and quantified.
Through "Untouchable," Pyrame raises awareness of the erosion of our freedom, privacy, and impartiality, highlighting the urgent need to reclaim these essential values and offering a glimpse of hope that one day we might find a way out.
To add further depth to the EP, "Untouchable" features a deep techno remix by Joseph S Joyce, a Caribbean-inspired rework by A-Tweed & Oltrefuturo, which also includes a dub version, and an electro mix by Acid Washed.
"Untouchable" is set for release on Thursday, September 5, 2024, available in a limited edition vinyl and digital format via THISBE Recordings.
